- SynonymLXN,Latexin,ECI,TCI
- SourceHuman Latexin, His Tag (LXN-H5140) is expressed from E.coli cells. It contains AA Glu2 - Glu 222 (Accession # AAH08438).Predicted N-terminus: MetRequest for sequence
- Molecular Characterization
This protein carries a polyhistidine tag at the N-terminus.
The protein has a calculated MW of 26.6 kDa. The protein migrates as 32 kDa under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE).
- EndotoxinLess than 1.0 EU per μg by the LAL method.
- Purity
>95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
- Formulation
Lyophilized from 0.22 μm filtered solution in 50 mM Tris, 150 mM NaCl, pH8.0. Normally trehalose is added as protectant before lyophilization.

- -70°C for 3 months under sterile conditions after reconstitution.
Human Latexin, His Tag on SDS-PAGE under reducing (R) condition. The gel was stained overnight with Coomassie Blue. The purity of the protein is greater than 95%.
- BackgroundLatexin (LXN) ,a member of the protease inhibitor I47 (latexin) family, is also known as endogenous carboxypeptidase inhibitor (ECI), tissue carboxypeptidase inhibitor (TCI) and protein MUM, which is highly expressed in heart, prostate, ovary, kidney, pancreas and colon, moderate or low in other tissues including brain. LXN is hardly reversible, non-competitive, and a potent inhibitor of CPA1, CPA2 and CPA4. LXN may play a role in inflammation as well.
