Human IDH1, His Tag on SDS-PAGE under reducing (R) condition. The gel was stained overnight with Coomassie Blue. The purity of the protein is greater than 95%.
- BackgroundIsocitrate dehydrogenase 1 (IDH1) is also known as Cytosolic NADP-isocitrate dehydrogenase (NADP(+)-specific ICDH), Oxalosuccinate decarboxylase and PICD, which is one of the Isocitrate dehydrogenases that can catalyze the oxidative decarboxylation of isocitrate to 2-oxoglutarate. These enzymes belong to two distinct subclasses, one of which utilizes NAD+ as the electron acceptor and the other NADP+. The cytoplasmic enzyme serves a significant role in cytoplasmic NADPH production.
