- SynonymCST7,Cystatin-F,Cystatin-7,CMAP,Leukocystatin,Cystatin 7
- SourceHuman Cystatin F, His Tag (CS7-H5222) is expressed from human 293 cells (HEK293). It contains AA Gly 42 - His 167 (Accession # AAH15507).Predicted N-terminus: Gly 42Request for sequence
- Molecular Characterization
This protein carries a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.
The protein has a calculated MW of 15.6 kDa. The protein migrates as 20-24 kDa under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.
- EndotoxinLess than 1.0 EU per μg by the LAL method.
- Purity
>95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
- Formulation
Lyophilized from 0.22 μm filtered solution in PBS, pH7.4. Normally trehalose is added as protectant before lyophilization.

Please avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
This product is stable after storage at:
- -20°C to -70°C for 12 months in lyophilized state;
- -70°C for 3 months under sterile conditions after reconstitution.
Human Cystatin F, His Tag on SDS-PAGE under reducing (R) condition. The gel was stained overnight with Coomassie Blue. The purity of the protein is greater than 95%.
- BackgroundCystatin-7 (CST7) is also known as Cystatin-F, Cystatin-like metastasis-associated protein (CMAP), Leukocystatin, which is a disulfide-linked homodimer belongs to the cystatin family. CST7 is primarily expressed in peripheral blood cells and spleen. CST7 inhibits papain and cathepsin L but with affinities lower than other cystatins. CST7 may play a role in immune regulation through inhibition of a unique target in the hematopoietic system.
