- SynonymCADM3,synCAM3,IGSF4B,BIgR,NECL1,TSLL1
- SourceHuman CADM3, His Tag (CA3-H5221) is expressed from human 293 cells (HEK293). It contains AA Asn 25 - His 330 (Accession # AAH33819).Predicted N-terminus: Asn 25Request for sequence
- Molecular Characterization
This protein carries a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.
The protein has a calculated MW of 34.6 kDa. The protein migrates as 38-42 kDa under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.
- EndotoxinLess than 1.0 EU per μg by the LAL method.
- Purity
>90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
- Formulation
Lyophilized from 0.22 μm filtered solution in PBS, pH7.4. Normally trehalose is added as protectant before lyophilization.

- Reconstitution
Please see Certificate of Analysis for specific instructions.
For best performance, we strongly recommend you to follow the reconstitution protocol provided in the CoA.
- Storage
For long term storage, the product should be stored at lyophilized state at -20°C or lower.
Please avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
This product is stable after storage at:
- -20°C to -70°C for 12 months in lyophilized state;
- -70°C for 3 months under sterile conditions after reconstitution.
Human CADM3, His Tag on SDS-PAGE under reducing (R) condition. The gel was stained overnight with Coomassie Blue. The purity of the protein is greater than 90%.
- BackgroundCell adhesion molecule 3 (CADM3) is also known as Synaptic cell adhesion molecule 3 (SynCAM3), Immunoglobulin superfamily member 4B (IgSF4B), Brain immunoglobulin receptor (BIgR), Nectin-like protein 1 (NECL-1), TSLC1-like protein 1 (TSLL1), which belongs to the nectin family. CADM3 contains two Ig-like C2-type (immunoglobulin-like) domains and one Ig-like V-type (immunoglobulin-like) domain. The isoform 1 is expressed mainly in adult and fetal brain and isoform 2 is highly expressed in adult brain and weakly expressed in placenta. In brain, Isoform 2 is highly expressed in cerebellum. CADM3 involved in the cell-cell adhesion and has both calcium-independent homophilic cell-cell adhesion activity and calcium-independent heterophilic cell-cell adhesion activity with IGSF4, PVRL1 and PVRL3. CADM3 / SynCAM3 interaction with EPB41L1 may regulate structure or function of cell-cell junctions.
